Storyline 2 templates not importing accurately; size is all wrong!

May 11, 2015

Hi,

I have created several story files that ultimately were going to be important into one large file.  That way, several stories could be reviewed by different reviewers separately.  When I insert new scene and import the story I created, in preview, the it imports as a smaller size.  My current project is 720 540 default and the others I created are 720 540 default, when I import them, they are importing at a much smaller size, leaving borders on the left and right.

I have spent pain staking time creating at least 6 different stories, and each one is behaving this way.  Even if I import a story from a colleague, who is also collaborating with me, the file does not import exactly.

What is going on?  I've had to recreate at least 2 of them, thinking it was a quirk.  But now, it's everything I import at the same size of 720 540, or any size for that matter.

Please help!!!

Thanks,

Lisa

Hi, Lisa - I am sorry to hear that you are having difficulties, but there are a few things we can try first to rule out some common issues: Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. And you may want to check out this information on Collaborative Network Environments.

Hi Christie,

Thanks for the suggestions.  I did need to do a repair.  I always work from local drive and the template I was importing was a template I created, so there wasn't anything with the template.  I started having these issues after upgrading to version 5.  So I reinstalled the previous version so I could finish this project.
