When inserting a video the video (gopro, mp4, narrow view, 720p / 60 fps) inserts with the correct width but only a few pixels height. It has handles so I can drag those to make the height needed. But, when the video is paused in design mode it blurs badly and the frame it pauses on is many frames prior to the current frame. Is there a fix for this? I am making the video's interactive so having it pause clear and on the correct frame is important. Also, when the slide is previewed it pauses on the correct frame and clear.
Also, it sounds like you've run into trouble with the different previews - was this the timeline preview and the overall course preview? The latter is what you'd see upon publish, so I'd suggest relying on that for confirming that things are working as you'd expect.

The original dimensions are 1280 x 720. The playback trouble is with the timeline preview (play). I'm trying to time interactions but when I hit pause at the point I want the video pauses several frames backwards and it's super blurry. I haven't published it, but when previewing the slide this does not happen only when playing the timeline in design mode.

What are the original dimensions of the video? I'd start by reviewing the best practices outlined here for using images in Storyline 2.
