Storyline 3: Program closing when attempting to insert or change media

Hi All,

This is an issue I've noticed with both Storyline 3 and Storyline 360 - Trial version.

I'm working locally on a Windows 10 machine. I have MS Outlook and Chrome and Workplace Chat and Windows explorer open.

When I go to insert any kind of media, such as an image, or audio or video from file, Storyline sometimes closes. It just closes - no explanations, no error messages, no apologies, no backups. Its like it was never open.

I've noticed this when inserting OR changing media from both a local and network drive, though not from cloud storage (but it may be due to insufficient testing).

I can't have Storyline closing every time I insert a sound clip or I'll never get anything done. I need this fixed, ASAP.

Hi there, Martin. That sounds really frustrating and definitely shouldn't be happening. I would recommend having your media stored on your local C: drive, where your Storyline project should also be stored. Would you be able to work one-on-one with my team to figure out why this is happening in your environment? Thank you!

Hi Crystal,

I've noticed it happening with local and non-local files so far. As for working one on one, I'll have to contact my manager and will let you know. Muchly appreciated.
