This might be a bug? I go to the player setting. The window comes up to make my changes. Then select the Menu tab. The player window closes out. I select the player tab again and the Menu window shows up. I have uninstalled and installed, but no luck. Thoughts?
Leslie, I did that and it didn't solve my issue. Now, once in a while I would get a big Red X covering the Scene panel on the left. I am going to do the repair again, but this time I am going to re-install one version from the latest.
Thanks for giving the repair steps a try, Ted. So sorry you're running into these oddities!
I also haven't seen the player behave like that before, but the red X typically appears when Storyline is low on resources. Closing any other open applications and working on a local hard drive usually help combat that gruesome X.
Did you have any luck repairing and reinstalling to an older update? Also, do these issues happen in any Storyline 360 course or a particular one?

Hi Ted,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are running into with your project.
I tried to replicate this issue but was unable to.
Could you conduct the repair on your software and see if this eliminates the player problem that you are seeing?
