I'm using Storyline 3.16 and have found some terms will not search. Some examples include "must" and "have". Searching these terms does not update the search window, and at times locks the search area from accepting a new search term. I have checked older published file, and they allow searching of these terms. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Does your project include a quiz that uses the Draw from Bank feature and are the problematic terms you're searching for included in one or more of those quiz questions? If so, this is a known issue. I believe the issue only appears in HTML5 output, not Flash.
The problem has been around for awhile; I have not seen it on the list of fixes yet in any of the recent updates.
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I do have a quiz with a bank, and yes those terms appear in the quiz. If I pull the questions out of the bank does the issue disappear? I hate to have my client lean toward Flash at this point.
Yes, according to my conversation with Articulate Support, if the quiz questions aren't in a bank, the Search feature should work. I used a different workaround (via a post-publishing hack, I just removed the Search feature for users viewing the project in HTML5).
Thanks for the assist, Steve! The issue you mentioned where you can't search text if it's in a question bank is also something our team is investigating. So I've included this discussion in that report.
We'll let you know here as soon as we can, Bonnie!

Thanks! That's another great option.

Hi Everyone,
As promised, I wanted to share that the issue where you can't search text if it's in a question bank is now resolved!
The next step is to update Storyline 360 by heading to your Articulate 360 desktop app and clicking "Update" next to Storyline.
If the problem reappears, please let us know! We are happy to help!
