Hi all, this is situation: - the user is playing the SCORM object - i want that the user is forced to listen to audio and animations until the end before he/she can move to next slide. - in the case the user intends to move on before the end of the audio and animations a warning message should appear. - even the menu should be disabled is there a function to achieve this? thanks so much for your help!!!
Yep, that can be done a number of ways, most easily using the Jump to Next Slide:When Media Completestrigger. Do you have your .story file that you can attach here?
I've already used trigger as you suggested but this method needs to be applied slide by slide and I wish there was a function applicable to all the slides together.
I also need that the menu is disabled so the user can go to the next slide only if he/she had listened the whole slide.
I'd also like to know how to control when the next button appears. I'd like for my employees to have to read the slides other than just click through them. Any way to set it up to where the next button either does not appear or appears when I say it can?
You can prevent users from advancing too quickly by disabling the built-in Next button until they've met certain conditions, such as clicking all the buttons on the slide or listening to all the narration. Another option is to remove the built-in Next button and create your own custom button for navigation. Or, you can restrict navigation for your entire course by making a simple change to your player settings.

I want to ensure that the learner listens to all the audio prior to being able to advance to the next slide. So, the steps in the support article were great. But if a learner listens to all the audio on slide A, moves onto slide B, and then they decide to go back to slide A to review something, it seems as though they are forced to the listen to the audio on slide A all over again. Is there a potential work around for this?
Since you're using audio on the slide, you might find this method to be a better option. It uses a True/False variable for the media, so once the user has listed to the complete audio file it adjusts the variable. This way, if they view that slide again, they aren't "locked down" and can continue on in the course.
Let me know what you think! I can try to create a quick example, if you'd like
Thank you for your help - worked liked a charm. I have about 100 slides though so does that mean I need to repeat the process shown in the screencast for each slide? If there is a shortcut, that would be great. If not, then I'll tackle the project - just want to know what to expect.
You would only need to do this for slides that contain audio that you need the user to hear before progressing in the course. If all of the slides are that way, then yes, you may need to set them all up. However, once you get the hang of it, it should move pretty quickly, especially if you already have the audio on the slides.

do i need to take extra steps if i have one slide with 3 layers (and audio on each layer)? i want to ensure they listen to ALL the audio on ALL the layers before moving onto the next slide. thank you!
Yes, you will need to set this up if you have audio on other layers. What you can do is make a new True/False variable for the audio you want to play on that layer.
Here's an example I made for you (not fancy, but should work the way you want it to) you shouldn't be able to advance until the media for each button plays.
I also attached the file to this post, if you want to see how I set it up.

Hi Roby,
If you'd like to attach your .story file, we'd be happy to take a look and see what can be done. Thanks!
