Storyline Mac Os off line browser delivery
Jun 25, 2013
Hello heroes,
I am having serious issues with the off line delivery of my Storyline project on Mac Os.
The course features:
- a drop-down locked menu within the Storyline interface;
- .pdf attachments through button triggers;
- the "print results" utility within the final slide of the embedded quiz;
- double-click trigger for interaction.
- quiz timer within the Storyline interface.
Due to the client's requirements, I must deliver the course on Mac iOS, exclusively off line and without
the Articulate Mobile App.
I tried (so hard) with three different browsers (all of which in their latest update),
and following are the outcomes.
Chrome
- opening story.html
- Neither Pdfs nor "print results" work (I have already checked the settings, and they are ok).
- opening story_html5.html
- Quiz timer disappears
- Double-click does not work
- "Print results" work does not work
Firefox
- opening story.html
- Neither Pdfs nor "print results" work (and Firefox Built-in Pdf properly running).
- "Print results" work does not work
- opening story_html5.html
- Quiz timer disappears
- Double-click does not work
Safari
- opening story.html
- The drop-down menu is no longer locked!
- The "print results" utility does not work!
- opening story_html5.html
- Double-click does not work, even if I read there http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=st1&id=1568gg1ayot2 that only Mobile Safari has this constraint.
- The "print results" utility does not work!
- The drop-down menu is no longer locked!
I don't know if this is "only" a matter of flash... but even with Html5 I encounter big issues, and this also affects ghraphics...
I really need help, because my client is not going to be understanding...
Which could be the solution to deliver this project off line within Mac Os???
Thank you,
Alessandro

Hello Alexander,
I also have several problems that you have listed. I asked for help but no one answered me yet. I begin to think that there are too many bugs in the storyline ...
Storyline content will not work as expected offline without using publish to CD, this unfortunately will not work on a Mac.
In reality this is a security issue, rather than a storyline issue. I think the only solution is to see if you can build a flash projector for the Mac that will then run your content.
Hi Phil,
I just launched the content using directly Flash Player (via .swf), and it works fine, but I still can't launch the .pdf attachments, and the "print results" utility is not working yet...
Thanks,
Alessandro
