not ideally what you want but perhaps a marker would work - you can set the animation to pulse and check the audio only option so the marker caption box doesn't show.

unfortunately not - they are set at a default size of 28 x 28 pixels. That's why I mentioned it might not be ideal. I tried putting a donut shape over it coloured in black to try and blend with the background but because the pulse animation surrounds the marker it shows up just as large. Sorry...its been a feature request to be able to resize markers for a long time.

Right I gotya. Understand. Thank you anyway for the insight Weny, in the meantime I've just made the image larger so the markers don't look OTT.

Thanks so much!

I had resorted to using one of the markers which gives the desired effect however the sizing cannot be altered which cause me to need to create larger than desired images to make it look kind of normal.

This video suggestion is great as you can clearly adjust the size of the object oval.

My go to way to loop animation it to put the cycling components in a layer that has a trigger to move the timeline for the layer to 0s when the timeline ends for the layer.

I find this is an approach that is easy to manage.

Yeah, that's a good way to go for looping animations. There's probably a break even point as to when to use layers and when to use states.

Layers are a great organizational method.  Using layers lets you use the timeline, which helps to nail the right timing.

States are great for object specific animations.  States are harder to edit, and less obvious that there are multiple states.
