Hey everyone. I have a MAC so I've been running my storyline trial on parallels. Every time I try to perform basic functions like create a new button or create a new text box, I receive what appears to be an error message. There is a giant red X that appears which does not allow me to perform the funtion. I don't know if it's an issue with Storlyine or Parallels. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thank you!

I'm sorry you are experiencing this issue. Please verify that you are working locally as described here.
If the issue persists, you can repair Storyline.
Have you tried to open a new Storyline file? It would be helpful to know if this is happening in a brand new file as well.
