Storyline project goes down

Jun 21, 2018

Hi everyone,

do you know any reasons, why Storyline project goes down? Opening and duplicating scenes takes about 1 minute, when I try to save it, program doesn't answer. My project has 80 scenes till now. My processor is ok. (usage max ~40%) i5-4200U, 8Gb RAM, SSD hard drive. Could it be because of a few layers in every scene?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Storyline is still a single core app so load will never reach 100% no matter what. I think your CPU is a dual core, so unless you see a 50% load on a storyline.exe process, the app is generally running fine and you just need to be patient.

If it does indeed get stuck at 50%, then you're most likely running into a memory leak (especially if memory allocation stays the same for several seconds) or a bottleneck (if memory allocation fluctuates).

80 scenes is HUGE though, unless you meant slides.

I hope this helps troubleshoot your issues.
