Ive just installed Storyline onto my new PC, and the start up feels like its taking a day. Although before, it was starting up fine on my laptop which was slower.
Ive uninstalled and re-installed my storyline, along with trying the older versions and the same problem occurs.
Ive had a similar issue before, the problem on my side was that I had too many fonts installed on my pc. I got rid of the ones I wasnt really using and that solved the issue.

One of the first things you should check is the amount of fonts installed as Royston mentioned. Too many fonts, spoils the broth.
