I have built a Likert scale survey that I am looking to insert into all of my courses to capture learner feedback. The courses are published via SCORM. what will Storyline pass on to the LMS? Does it report the individual question scores? My LMS admin tells me Storyline will not. Is there a workaround?
The quiz data reported to an LMS is detailed here, although it'll be up to your LMS to report out on the actual answers and what the user entered in. You'll want to be sure you include a results slide to track and report the results to your LMS - and you may also want to look at testing the course within SCORM Cloud which is the industry standard for testing SCORM content and review the article here on tracking and troubleshooting issues within an LMS.
We use Plateau and we were told that the LMS captures that SCORM data but no one could tell us how to get the data back out. It seems that the back-end Oracle database is a black hole that never releases any data. Anything in standard reports, like test scores, are reported but question level detail is not and they could not find where it lived to create a custom report.
Thanks for the response, but I am inquiring about a Likert survey, not a scored quiz. I am using Storyline (1). The links you sent are for Storyline 2, and address quizzes. Any thoughts around survey questions reporting to an LMS? (Blackboard).
Even though the links were for SL2, the same situation applies in SL1, with the exception that Likert data wasn't being reported to an LMS prior to update 6 as documented here. Have you checked which update of Storyline you're using? You may also want to reach out to your Blackboard team in regards to if they'll be able to report out on and display Likert data.
