Storyline Word : Translations
May 31, 2019
Hello,
When I published my Storyline project to Word, I selected the property options to include layers and notes. (The project contains layers and notes.) The word count was 801 words. However, our French and Italian translators stated that the word count is 2000 words. We use Trados Translation.
Have others experienced this issue? Are there other methods to accurately receive a word count from Storyline projects?
Thank you

For translation you would choose export to translation from the file menu. The word document does not include any text on the slide.
Thank you for your reply. Yes, the project was exported howvever we also include a word count so the translators have an idea of the number of words that are being translated. 801 and 2000 is a big gap and I'm trying to understand how that is possible. Note: the option to include layers and notes was also checked in properties.
Please advise.
Thank you
The translation document is the one you need. The publish to word will not give an accurate word count.
