Subscripts not displaying properly.

Aug 05, 2015

Hello,

I'm working on a course in which there are a lot of subscripts. They look fine in the editor, but when I preview or publish, the subscript is showing up centered with the text and not at the bottom like a subscript should. This wasn't an issue in Storyline 1.

Is there something else that needs to be done or a workaround for this? It does not look good at all.

It appears to be an issue with Arial. I changed to Arial Unicode and it seems to look a little better. It's in our client's guidelines to use Arial, so I don't have the option of switching to a different font.

Considering how widely used Arial is, I would hope this is something that could be fixed, especially since this wasn't an issue previously.

Hi, Matt -- Thanks for your patience.

When I opened your file, and previewed, I did a side-by-side comparison of the screenshot you provided above versus what I saw, and it does not look like the subscripted 2 is behaving for me the same way it was for you (showing up centered with the text and not at the bottom like a subscript should).

What I would like to ask is if you can please run through a few general troubleshooting steps to see if there is any improvement. Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. Also, could you please ensure that you are utilizing the most recent SL2 Update? Info on Update 6 can be found here.

You may also want to see if a full reboot of your machine is helpful. Please let us know what you can at your earliest convenience.
