Survey Question - Options chosen to be shown as text

Jun 03, 2020

So I have created a survey question where people can pick multiple options, how can I create a review slide that shows just the items someone has chosen formatted as text.

They pick their hobbies then it shows them their hobbies on the next slide.

Hi Jack!

I'm happy to help!

I've recreated this on my end, and found that using a blank slide in between the questions and results slide is the easiest way to do this! Not to worry, you'll still use the results slide to track the responses.

Here are the steps I took:

  1. Add a survey question, blank slide, and results slide to the course.
  2. Create a True/False variable for each answer choice. Set the variable to False.
  3. Add this trigger for each check box.
  4. Make sure there is a trigger to Submit Results when user clicks Submit.
  5. On the blank slide, add the same number of shapes as the number of answers on the Question slide. For example, I had 3 answers so I added 3 rectangles.
  6. Type an answer choice in each shape, and set the initial state to Hidden.
  7. Add this trigger for each rectangle.
  8. Lastly, go ahead and Preview!

I've also shared these steps in a Peek video if you're more of a visual learner! Here's the link.
