Is there a limit on the complexity of flash files that can be imported to storyline. Also Ive imported a couple of basic swfs and they work fine when viewing on the web but dont play on the ipad. Is there an list of rules when creating the flash files to make it ipad compatible. Thanks
Another option is if you have the FLA file. You can export it as a movie file (.AVI) and then convert it to a .MOV or .MP4. As long as the FLA is animation only and no user interactive elements like buttons, etc. it should play "as" as movie. In that format it will play on the iPad.

Ipads dont play flash. That said swfs without actionscript should play but need to be inserted as a video not as flash.
TBH I have never got a swf to play on the ipad so it is hit and miss
