“Swipe” effect in Articulate Storyline 2

Jul 21, 2017

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how to create the “swipe” effect on Articulate Storyline 2?

The same way you would be checking your friends’ posts on Facebook . The slide would have a cell phone image, and the learner would swipe up in order to scroll down. I was also hoping have them click on objects that are lightboxed as they scroll down. I tried to do this with the slider, but it didn’t work (or maybe I don’t know the right way of doing it). Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Eliana!  Great question for the community.

I searched through E-Learning Heroes and found in a recent challenge, Mark Bennett shared his own take for creating the parallax effect with sliders. By making both sliders full-slide images, Mark discovered a creative way to make the entire background draggable.  You can download Mark’s source file to learn more about his project and how he built it.  (His demo link is not available presently).

Maybe you could incorporate that concept into your project as a start to create a swipe scrolling effect.
