Synergy Process Interaction - States are grouped. Learner Must Visit each. How do I create trigger that all groups or layers are visited?

Jun 30, 2021

Hello ELH,

I am using Synergy Process Interaction slide template in a SL360 course. There is a base plus 3 layers. On the base, the states are grouped components (4 components to each group (which is basically a box,  a box, a number, heading & text) and three groups total. In my course, the learner must visit each of the three groups (3 layers) to move forward.  Yet the groups don't show up in the Trigger panel as groups. Only components.  I setup a trigger to deactivated the next button when timeline starts. Now I need to turn it back on, once they have visited each layer. Please advise how this trigger is to be setup.  It would be great if I can use the default player, but PLMK if I need to create a continue button. If so, please tell me how to set that up. Thank you kindly.

Hi, Laura.

Thank you for reaching out!

I took a quick look at the Synergy Process slide, and here's what I would suggest:

  • The groups all contain an oval (Oval 01, Oval 02, and Oval 03)

  • You can add a Visited state to each of those ovals:

Windows 10 (1) 2021-06-30 at 9.46.17 AM

  • This will allow you to create the following trigger:
    • Change the state of Next Button to Normal when the state of all ovals (01, 02, 03) is Visited.

Let me know if this works!
