Tabbing does not work in HMTL5 published version

Aug 28, 2015

Hi everyone,

I am trying to design some simple modules for a course and I have to make sure that I meet accessibility standards. I published for the web, but when in the HTML5 version I am unable to tab to the module. Has anyone else experienced this? Here is the link to the HTML5 version=https://ctools.umich.edu/access/content/user/anstark/Step%204/story_html5.html

I can tab in just the HTML Story version, but despite having the tab order set to read the text first it is automatically sending me to the web object and then I am stuck tabbing in the web object. Does anyone know how to escape the web object or make sure it starts at the text box first? Here is the link: https://ctools.umich.edu/access/content/user/anstark/Step%204/story.html

Thank you everyone!

Hi Alex,

Content published for HTML5 and the Articulate Mobile Player isn't compliant with Section 508 accessibility guidelines. You can read more about our 508 compliance here.

You may want to review how web objects are layered with slide content as they'll always appear at the top. In regards to the link you shared I wasn't able to view it as it looks to be password protected.

Hi there, Kendra.  Here to help!  😊

Ashley shared this link about our accessibility support for Storyline 2.  Only the Flash output for Storyline 2 supports the accessibility standards.

Both Storyline 360 and Storyline 3 include HTML5 output in our accessibility support!  You can start a trial of those latest versions and see if that meets your needs.  We're happy to give you the information you need if you're thinking of upgrading.
