test settings

Mar 16, 2015

I am not sure what I want is possible, but so far there seems to be a workaround for every question I submit with this great program. Soooo, here goes.

I have an "exam" or test that has 8 question banks of about 20 questions each. Each bank is to randomly choose 10 questions of the 20 in each bank randomly to make an exam of 80 questions. BUT, i would like the person taking the exam to be able to go back and change an answer, or double check and change some answers and then when they are satisfied with their answers to all 80 questions, to be able to then submit the exam. I have managed to get the random list of 80 questions on the menu to the left side, and using the "restricted state" of the player, it can go back to previous questions, but it will not let me change my answer. It also gives me the "next" "previous" option if I go back to a question, it no longer gives me the submit option. (which could be ok, as the examinee can click on whichever question he or she wants.) Am I asking too much? I cant seem to find the setting i want in the player settings or menu settings for the player. Is there something I need to do for each slide? i hope i explained clear enough. Its kind of like those old bubble exams. I want to be able to go to any question, colour the bubble in in pencil, get them all done, look through my answers, erase and revise the ones I want changed and then hand it in to the prof when i am satisfied.

Hi Pryce,

Have you seen the behavior here in regards to submitting all at once?

The next button won't allow the user to advance until the slide's timeline ends if you're using the restricted setting and you'll also want to make sure that the slides are set to "resume saved state" to keep the users answers and the behavior for them to click next again instead of having to wait for the entire slide timeline.

Thanks Ashley. I have the timeline function disabled, and each question, (all multiple choice) has only the submit button once they have chosen an answer. So do I need to switch the settings to next/previous slide? I haven't had a chance to look at your link, but there is an option at the end to submit the whole thing? That might work. I will keep playing with it and will let you know if I have any more questions
