Answers people put into a text box in my storyline file will show up in another text box later in the story line (i.e. if someone writes test 1, five slides later test 1 will show up already in the text box) - is there a way to get each text box to say type your text here as the default without carrying over answers?
Do you want the text box on slide 5 to say type your text here until they type test1 into slide 1, and then when they get to slide 5 it has changed to test 1, but if they don't type anything on slide 1, slide 5 will still say type your text here? Type your text here is what shows up in text entry boxes by default, but text boxes only show what you put into them.
What they type on slide 1 can be put into a variable using a text entry object. Then on slide 5, you can place a reference to that same variable in a text box, and slide 5 will show what they typed. (Insert -> References -> choose variable.)
