Text Entry Issue

I'm trying to create a series of slides where the learner enters provided text into two separate text entry boxes, then clicks a button (User ID, password, Login). It doesn't REALLY matter what they type into the boxes, I just don't want them to skip the entries and go straight to clicking the button.
I've attached a sample of my now-screwed-up attempt. I'd appreciate your help, please!

Hi Mary
I understand what you're saying about you don't care what they type in but if you are going to present the correct answer on the second slide won't that detract from the learning.
e.g. I type in cricket for my User ID and you present on the next side Store_XXXX in the User ID field.
Perhaps if you just tell them to type something in the two fields and test that they are both not blank and allow them to continue or else validate that they put in your example.
Sorry that's just my 2 cents for what it's worth.
Thanks for your reply. Yes, you're right - I meant to indicate that the main focus isn't on their entries - although I do want the interaction to be smooth. So, of course they need to enter what's provided.

Wendy, do you have any suggestions on how I can make the interaction function correctly?
Hi Mary
see if the attached works for you
Thank you, Wendy! What was I missing? It looks like maybe I hadn't defined the variable...?
Hi Mary
I changed the names of the variables just so I could work out which was which...then I used the condition of the trigger to say when the variable is blank show the alert.
Glad that will work for you
Ok, got it. These variables make my brain hurt! I've learned something today - so thank you for that!
