Text Entry reporting to LMS

Oct 12, 2023

I am using Articulate Storyline 360 to create a short answer survey questions module that reports to LMS. The issue is that it only reports pass/incomplete, time spent and attempts but not the survey answers. I need to adjust it so I know what each student actually answered in each question. Is that possible?

Thanks

Could be your SCORM version? Are you publishing to SCORM 2004?

Have you tried publishing to SCORM Cloud to remove your LMS configuration from the equation?

Also, here is a thread you might find useful as an Articulate staff member is responding to a similar issue in the last day or so.

Thanks Richard and Nedim for your replies. I have tried exporting it as SCORM 2004 version 4 and xAPI and still do not have more information other than complete as on the picture. Do you have any documentation on how it's supposed to work with the LMS? Our LMS is on D2L system.

According to their documentation:

For each SCORM object, Brightspace records:

  • The number of user attempts on the object.
  • The number of attempts completed. (Some attempts appear as incomplete if a user ends the attempt at an object).
  • The number of attempts passed, the passing score, and the average score.
  • Average time spent on the object (for the legacy SCORM solution).

You can also view details on user attempts, objectives, and interactions for each item in both the legacy SCORM solution and the new SCORM solution. These details can be accessed by navigating to SCORM Reports from a course's reports page (Content > Course options > View Reports > SCORM Reports), and selecting the SummaryInteractions, or Objectives button.
