I am recording a screencast and for some odd reason the caption boxes all have black text instead of white? Applying the preformatted colors doesn't change a thing?
It seems like something is wrong in the .story file as is works just fine when I create a new 'blank' file. I figured I just import it but that does not work as the text color gets changed to black again :-(
Oh, the import actually does keep the text white... So I've found a workaround but still need a solution for my main issue with the current storyline template.
It's when you add them it happens. Even a default shape get's a black text when you start typing into it and applying a predefined format (which has white text) doesn't change a thing.
If you record a simple screen recording from within the .story file you should get the same I'm guessing?
I'm not able to replicate what you're describing, can you attach your file here or if you'd like to send it to me via PM I am happy to take a look to figure out what is happening.
Ashley... I guess it was one of those Monday things... I had been strugling all day but now it is not happening anymore?! I recorded numerous new screen recordings and all came out as expected... with white captions.
One other thing though...
I have created masterslides but the text color always jumps to black when I create a new slide based on one of the content slides. My title header should be either pink or white and the content grey??
Thanks for letting me know that the captions are now back in working order. Must have been a case of the Mondays.
In regards to your master slides, I tried them out and am able to replicate the problem within your file. I then copied your master slides into a new file, and still had the same problem. I create a set of new master slides, similar to yours with pink and white titles, and that one worked successfully. Can you try to create a new test master and see if the problem continues for you? If not, I'd say go ahead and use the new master as something in the original may have been corrupted. If the problem persists, let me know and we'll continue from there!

Hi Jeff,
I reviewed the file you attached, and didn't see any captions or screen recordings. Did you upload a different file than the one you were referencing?

I'm off tomorrow but I'll send it on thursday! Tnx.
Sounds good - thanks Jeff!

Do you see that happening in the file I sent?

My original seems corrupted indeed. I was just wondering if it was solvable...
Tnx for the feedback!
Thanks Jeff for the update! Sorry to hear that they were corrupted, but hopefully it was easy to make new ones!
