Text size changing when editing text box?
Jun 04, 2013
I've noticed that this is something that Storyline does but it's never really been a problem until now.
Whenever I am entering text into a text box, the font size shrinks to a considerably smaller size than it usually displays, this has become a problem as I now need to space and format a text box in a very specific way.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

Editing
Does anyone know why Storyline does this and if there is a way to stop it from doing this?
Hardly an earth shattering issue, admittedly, but it does disrupt workflow significantly when you have hundreds of pieces of material to produce.
Any insight is appreciated
Thank you,

I've noticed this too, and have found it to be problematic. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution - but, whoever answers this, I hope can help with another font issue. Apparently, if you cut and paste text (whether it be a text box, or inside a shape) from one page to another, the font will change from whatever you set it at to Articulate. Is there anyway to prevent this from happen?
Thanks,
Audrey
Well I too have same problem and didn't found any solution yet for this Michael, but I have solution for Audrey's problem.
You can go to the design tab and select default font from Articulate to any desired font see image below.
Hi guys,
When editing text in Storyline, the best way to assure your published text will appear as it does whilst editing, is to work from a 100% zoom level in Slide View. This can be adjusted in the lower-left corner of your timeline.
Though that's not a perfect solution, I hope it helps...
Hi, thanks for the response, I was unaware that the change was related to the zoom level.
I'll make sure I'm viewing at 100% when making adjustments to text.
Thank you,
Michael
