Are there any plans to improve the text behavior?

One of the few remaining annoyances in Storyline is the way the font size changes whenever you click on text to edit it. I keep expecting to see this get fixed when an update comes out, and I am always amazed that this does not get fixed.

I find it to be a constant challenge to edit text. And please don't just tell me to work around it. When we pay this much for software we expect it to work better.

  • When I drag the mouse to highlight text, the highlight does not match what I drag over.
  • When I click between words to start editing the fonts change size and my insert point moves to another point in the sentence.
  • When I finish editing a textbox or an object containing text, the text size increases and the formatting changes, sometimes making the text not fit the object.

I have experienced this problem with every version since Beta, and on two different computers, using both Windows XP and Windows 7.

Hi Jim,

I know you don't want a work around and I hear you re how very annoying it is. But to avoid the annoyance, have you tried working at 100% zoom level? This eliminates much of that behavior.

I agree we shouldn't need to do that, and I've made a feature request speaking to that, but in the interim, I can at least work and eliminate some of that nasty behavior.
