text variable

I'm trying to add a text variable that I can use to capture a person's name but in my 'insert' ribbon there is no object titled 'data entry'. Can anyone help me?

Are you using Storyline 2? Text and data entry boxes are now under Insert > Controls.

I am using Storyline 2, and under the insert control, in the interactive objects there is:
Trigger
Controls
Marker
Scrolling Panel
Mouse

No Data Entry
