Theme fonts for shapes/buttons/captions

Oct 22, 2013

Hello Forum,

I have what I hope to be a quick question.

Each time I create a text box, shape, caption, etc for a particular project I would like the font to already be set. Using this tutorial http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/working-with-theme-fonts.aspx I created a custom font theme. This tutorial says that "The body font is used for body text on your course slides, including text that you type into text boxes, captions, buttons, and shapes..." I followed the instructions and now text boxes default to my new custom font theme (yeah!) but shapes and buttons don't. (boo)

Any idea what might be going wrong here?

Hi Nadia,

I just tested this within my own Storyline file and all my theme fonts are being applied across all slides to each button, shape and text box. Can you confirm that you're working with local  project files? Working on a network drive or USB can cause unusual behavior. Also, I'd suggest if this is happening in all your Storyline files you may want to conduct a repair of your Storyline software.  If it's just one Storyline fine, please try to import it into a new Storyline file.
