Custom Timer (Time Elapsed)
Jun 10, 2015
How could i build a custom timer to show the user time elapsed so far per slide?
If the user re-attempts any slide (question), the timer should reset itself and start over gain for that particular slide.
Also, i want to show total time taken for all the slides in the final result slide.
I don't want to impose any time limit on the user. It's just to show that how much time user has taken to complete each slide and total time taken for all slides at the end.It won't be any countdown timer.

Hi Avishek,
Check the attached file.
This may be useful up to some extents. Make necessary changes for the total time taken for whole assessment.
Thanks for the input.
the timer is getting paused after 67 secs. , i.e. 01:7 .
Can i get a summation of the total time taken for all the slides at the end?
Hi, Avishek - This thread offers lots of suggestions that may work for you. :)
The timer gets Paused when Timeline ends.
You can remove that condition.
Study the triggers and Variables. you can alter the functionality as per your need.
Thanks for the suggestion, Sagar, and Avishek - please feel free to update to let us know if you are all set, or if you are still in need of further assistance.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I found another solution in forum.
Hi Joydeep! If you thing that the solution is something that could benefit others, please feel free to share :)
I'll definitely share the file tomorrow.
Sounds great! Thanks!
Sorry for the delay.
I made a more simplified version of the timer. It's just done with a single layer and few triggers. It's very simple. Also, attached the story file.

I have attached the story file already in above post.

Hi all,
I would like to implement same trick (display time elapsed per slide) but for SL 1. Can anybody give me suggestion about how to proceed?
Thank a lot and Happy New Year!
