Tracking completion of lessons on CD
Oct 05, 2017
Hi everyone!
I'm working on a course with four lessons. The course will be published on CD, and I'm using Storyline 360 to develop it.
My client has requested that there is some way to track completion of each lesson, as well as passing the final exam.
The only way I can think to do this is to generate a certificate after the user completes each lesson. This would mean that they would have 5 certificates total when they complete the course.
Does anyone have a better method of doing this? What other options are there for tracking completion of each lesson when publishing to a CD?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Tracking usually involves a third tool like an LMS (learning management system). If you the system will have an internet connection people have posted amazing solutions that utilized Google Sheets. If restricted to local, CD mode only, think of CDs as read only media. Certificates would be your only option.
p.s. scripting doesn't work when publishing for CD as the web browser blocks for security
That's very helpful--thank you!
That was my assumption, but I know people do amazing workarounds with problems like this!
