Translation odd characters

I am currently working on a project in which I imported the English version of a presentation from PPT to Storyline. Then, we made some visual changes (minor) and added a couple of tabbed interactions. Next, we have to create 12 additional versions in 12 different languages. So, because we have changed the look and feel, it is easiest and fastest for us to copy and paste the content from PPT to each story file. however when you copy and paste in the notes section, no matter what the language, it puts this in front of the beginning of the pasted content, "ヒラギノ角ゴヒラギノ角ゴ". Then, you have to delete this in every note section of every slide. Any ideas why this is happening?
