Trigger panel sticking

Jun 02, 2021

I am trying to add triggers to my slides. However there are already triggers in the trigger panel from a different slide. In fact, those triggers are in every slide. Did I miss something that would let me make unique triggers for each slide?

Hi, Keema, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ✨

Thank you for reaching out!

Which triggers do you see in every slide? By default, Player triggers show up in every slide:

You can disable them from the Slide Properties by unchecking the options:

Take a look at this article showing the different triggers you will encounter in Storyline 360.

If the triggers you see are different from those above, are you able to send a screenshot of your trigger panel?

So sorry, I completely missed this response. After I logged out and logged back in, the issue went away. It wasn't the usual next and previous player triggers. It was one I had created specifically for a particular slide (ie show layer X when the user clicks Button 1). It's happened a couple of times but resolves if I log out for a while and return to the project later. Thanks so much for replying to my question.

Thanks for popping back in with an update, Keema. I'm glad to hear that it's now working as expected.

You mentioned that this had happened a couple of times, so I'm curious if it's in the same file or if you see this intermittently across projects?

If it's limited to a specific file, you may want to consider importing it into a new file to see if this alleviates the issue.
