Triggers and States

Mar 18, 2022

Hello all

I am building a training simulation for our teams and part of the simulation is to select the correct decision (blackjack basic strategy). The wrong decision results in an incorrect icon displaying and the correct decision gets a correct icon.

My question is, is it possible for me to get the incorrect icon to change state from normal back to hidden after 1 or 2 seconds? I have been looking through the variables and conditions but can't seem to find a solution.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Craig,

You'll have to create your own "delay" programming, i.e., triggers that run based on the timing you want.

I just answered a similar question the other day. You'll find it here:

Perhaps the simplest method is to display the icon on a layer. Set the layer not to hide other layers and to hide itself when the timeline ends. Then you can set the timeline to how long you want the icon to display. Be sure to set the layer to reset to initial state on revisit.

If you really want to show off, you can give the icon a fade exit animation.
