Triggers and Variables
Dec 25, 2017
Happy holidays to everyone out there.
I'm not sure why this is so hard for me but I'm sure there is an easy solution and I know you guys will have it.
I have 1 slide with 5 layers
The first 4 layers have the "return arrow" trigger set to hide this layer and goes back to base layer.
But I want to go to layer 5 after the user has viewed all 4 layers. So it is base layer, click to view a layer, then click "return arrow" back to base layer. Once all 4 layers are seen, when you click the same return arrow as previously, it should take you to layer 5 for the rest of the interaction.
I know it is setting up conditions but I'm not sure how to write this.
Thank you for any help you can give me with this.

Have a look at the attached and see if that example matches your setup. I use the Visited state of the four layer buttons to determine to either go back to the baselayer or show layer 5.
This looks great. I'm going to copy the triggers and see if it will behave the same way in my course. Thank you so much for your quick and clear reply.
Michael,
Thank you so much. This works great. I was trying to use hot spots and i
think I could have done the conditions that way but this was easier with
using the buttons visited state.
All the best.
Actually, hotspots do not have states, so you would have to use variables.
That was the problem and trying to wrap my brain around the variable thingy just wasn't working.
Thank you so much.
