I am having trouble applying a layout to a screen recording slide, regardless of the mode I select. It is inserting the video onto a new slide that is using the appropriate theme, and it shows the layout I have selected highlighted in the layout list, but my slide just has a solid color background and does not change when I choose different layouts.
If the video is consuming the entire slide, you won't see any change when you alter the background color. However, if you have, say a 16:9 ratio video and place it on a 4:3 slide, you'll see the slide background on the top and bottom. In this case, you'd see the change occur.
