trouble searching forum

Jul 02, 2014

I'm a storyline user for over a year, and have been a lurker/reader in the forums for some time.  I now need to track down information - will get that question asked in a separate post.  For the first time, I seem to be unable to gather any information by using the search box in the upper right of the screen.  Any search comes back empty:  I've tried searching for the words such as video that I know have lots of forum  posts, and it still comes back empty.  I've tried two computers  (windows 7 and windows 8.1) and two browsers (internet explorer or firefox).   Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong, or if something is broken at the host end?

Hi Evelyn,

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

No doubt the search feature on the forums could definitely use a helping hand - we're hoping that the next version of the forums will have a more user-friendly search feature.

In the meantime, however, I personally recommend using Google instead. If you use a specific string "", you can narrow the search results for a specific domain. For example, you could search for "Storyline Video Best Practices". Using that search, you'll actually see a lot of pretty helpful threads.

Let us know if you have any trouble with this, or any questions.
