Hello all,
I have almost completeted an e-learning and the final part was to test the knowledge of the Delegates.
I have done a Try me now and it works ish, I have 2 little problems
1. As they will be inputting text in to the fields I used the Zoom part but if they put the wrong information in you cant click OK as the Try Again pop up is off the screen.
2. If you complete the Try now when you submit at the end you dont get the next page (Results) as the circule comes up with the rotating part to say its processig but never goes further.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a fault? I am using Storyline 360
Thank you
Jason

Hi there Jason! For #1, It can be tricky to pinpoint exactly what the issues could be without seeing your file. Would you mind sharing it here so we can take a closer look? Just use the Add Attachment button at the bottom of the reply window.
For #2, are you seeing this in Preview mode or when testing the published content?
Hi Alyssa,
#1 I will attach as you mentioned, if you go to the try me schene you will see when it is zoomed in you can click on the section you need to type in but it comes up as incorrect
#2 I have tried it in both preview and published
Hi again! Thanks for sharing your file here.
For the Text Entry slides that have zoom regions, the zoom also applies to the feedback layer. Unfortunately zoom regions cannot be triggered on and off (but that would make a nice feature request!), so you may need to try one of the workarounds suggested in this older thread for those slides.
For the issue you were seeing with the spinning circle, I was able to fix the issue by deleting 5.17 Results Slide and inserting a new results slide. Please give that a try, and let me know if it works for you.
I also wanted to point out that I saw some issues with the interaction showing incorrect feedback when the slide has a zoom region. When I clicked correct hotspots on slides with zoom regions, I would get the Try Again feedback. But when I removed the zoom regions, I got the correct answer and was able to move on to the next slide. Have you noticed this as well? I'm going to continue testing this, and I'll pop back in here and share what I find.
Hi Jason, I did some testing in a new file, and I have confirmed that using a zoom region on a hotspot slide will result in an incorrect feedback layer. This only happens on hotspot slides - text entry slides work as expected. The only workaround I can offer at this point is to remove the zoom region from the hotspot slides. I have shared this issue with our Quality Assurance team, and I'll post updates on this issue here in this thread as they become available.
Hello Alyssa,
I have removed slide 5.17 and put a new results slide in and yes that fixed the spinning circle thank you.
Like you yes I had the same problems with the hotspot zoom but imputting the text was fine.
I have removed it for now as this was a test pilot before going to my MD to see if he liked it or not.
Glad to hear your results slide is fixed, Jason. Good luck on the rest of your project, and be sure to reach out if you encounter any snags along the way!
Great news Jason!
We just released another update for Articulate 360, and included a few important fixes that you'll see in the release notes here.
The item you'll be interested in is:
Fixed: Zoom regions wouldn't work in HTML5 output when they were set to start at the beginning of slides, and they caused test-mode screen recordings with hotspots to fail.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
