Do you know which font is causing the issue? Is it possible that Storyline was open/running when the font was originally installed? Either way, could you try removing and reinstalling the font with Storyline closed?
For reference, here is a Knowledge Base article from Microsoft on how to install or remove a font in Windows.
Storyline doesn't require specific fonts per say, only that they be True Type if you wish to use them inside the program.
If you wouldn't mind submitting a Support Case so that we can take a closer look, there are a few more things we can do to see if this issue can be resolved? Make sure to include a link to this forum thread when doing so.

Adrian. This designer has not installed any new fonts. Actually another designer built it and this one is just trying to open it.
This also happens when she starts a new SL.
Does SL require specific fonts for the SL UI?
