One way to change to the font itself is by using the Design Tab and the Fonts dropdown:
After clicking the drop-down you can select a pre-set combination for title and content, or you can create a new them. Then, apply that theme to your slides.
Size can be a little trickier, but you CAN go into the Slide Master and set sizes on the various layouts and then apply those to the slides. The image below shows a slide where I changed the font itself as described above. Then I went to the slide master and changed the color and size for the Title and Content Layout, and applied it to this slide. The way to apply a layout is:
Right-click on the slide (be sure you're mouse isn't resting on any objects) or right-click "offstage"
From the shortcut menu, choose layout
Click on the desired layout - you can see the Title and Content layout is highlighted in yellow on the right here
