I am developing a course in Articulate Storyline, but while publishing I am stuck with an issue that says that linked URL is not supported by the browser. Its a simple web link, which I have checked in the web and LMS published output but its not working giving the attached error. Nevertheless, when I uploaded it on the LMS, its working fine.
The links are triggered by a hotspot.
Can you please advise me, as I need to deliver to client by EOD today :(
External links are not available in preview, only when the project is published to its intended environment (such as your LMS). If you need to see it outside that environment, you need to publish it for the web, or CD.
Hi, Megha! Thanks for your question, and to echo Walt's sentiments, I thought I might also pass along the following excerpt from this article on Publishing and Sharing SL2 Content:
"If you view an Articulate Storyline course on your local hard drive (or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive), you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail. To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published."
