Use the build in question/answer variables

Apr 24, 2019

I am creating a course in Storyline 360 where the learner gets a question after a part of a journey.

Based on the answer (correct or incorrect) the journey path follows a direct route (correct) or a detour with extra information (if the answer was incorrect).

The only way to get it working is to create a variable that store the answer and evaluate this in the next step.

However, the answers are stored somewhere (when I do a quiz review, I see all the given answers). So I want to use the given answers instead of creating and maintaining my own variables.

Is this possible?

Hi Dick,

Here is an alternative option that you may wish to consider that doesn't require you to create any variables or access the answers that were given.

In the attached example, the user progresses through the course content (Scene 1) and if they answer a question incorrectly, they are jumped (via branching) to additional information for that question that is held in another scene. Once they have viewed the additional information, the Next button on the final slide in that scene (can be as many slides as you wish) jumps the user back to the main content scene at the point where they left off and so it continues.
