I have three objects on a Storyline slide that I want learners to click in a certain order. I thought I could do this with variables and conditions, but I'm having trouble.
For example, I want to show the layer explaining the second object when the second object is clicked, but only if the first object has a state of Visited.
I created a Visited state for each object and tried setting up a True/False variable, but I don't know how to make the variable check for a Visited state. Is this even possible?
Or, is there a better way to do what I'm trying to do?
This can be done with a few triggers, see attached example. Since you want the learner to click objects in order, show objects #2 and#3 initially in disabled state. Clicking object#1 enables object#2 and shows layer 1 and so on. Hop that helps.
Thanks for the quick reply, Michael, and for taking the time to provide an example.
I am fairly new at this and have never used the Disabled state before, but this sounds like a plan. I will check out your example and give this solution a try.
Thanks again, Michael! (My network blocked access to your example link, but I was able to download the ThreeObjects story and the solution was just what I wanted.)
As for the tutorial, that was actually one of the first ones I viewed, but sometimes it's hard to call to mind what you need when you need it!

Again, many thanks!
Hi Norma, here is a good tutorial on editing and creating object states.
