At the end of my course I have a slide that lets/makes the student chose one quiz or another. I know how to make a combined results slide and have that slide report to the LMS.
Trouble is, if they only do one of the five optional quizzes, they score low on the cumulative score, obviously, and therefore the score passed to the LMS is too low.
I don't want to make 5 different courses. I also don't want to fall back to the LMS for separate quizzing modules. Any creative solutions come to mind?
May be a very simple suggestion - but maybe you could make it a requirement to complete both quizzes? In other words, don't allow the user to continue to the second quiz, if the first hasn't been completed. Would this be something that would work for you?
No, that won't work. I have to offer 5 different quizzes based on their job description. They only have to get past one.
So here's my solution: I am letting them choose their quiz, making it hard to get past, then sending everyone to a "generic" final exam and that is the score that will be sent to the LMS. Th Final is not a challenge, but the pre-finals will be, and they can't get to the final unless they get past the pre-final. I don't need the LMS to know their score on the pre-final.
