User returns to slide and need to reset next button

May 07, 2014

Hi

I have the user select an option on the slide to branch to some information relevant to the option. I have the next button to display text ' you need to select one option'

when the user returns to this slide I would like the next button to be activated to go to next slide.

Hi Jane,

Whilst Anum's suggestion will work in principle, you will need to add some conditions to the trigger; simply adjusting the variable to true when the timeline of this slide starts will change the state of your next button the first time your user lands on this page.

My understanding is that you would like to have the next button inactive at first to prompt the user to select one of the 3 paths (Clinical workforce, Non-clinical workforce or Health Service Managers) and have the next button become active and jump to the next slide once the user has returned to this screen?

If you have a visited stated for each of your 3 buttons, it might be easier to use these to control when the next button becomes active, for example:

Action: Change state of

On Object: Next button

To state: Normal

When: State

On: Any of (click to select the 3 buttons you have) is Visited

You will also need to include a second trigger on the next button to jump to the next slide.

I hope this helps,

Antony
