Using Pictures

Mar 05, 2013

I am coming to a halt with my development because I need some help on the copyright laws with using images I find online. I come from an educational background and now I am working in a corporate office. I was covered before under the "fair use" but now I know I need to be more educated in this area before I publish any training for my company.

Also, I have already looked at images to buy with iStock, ThinkStock, etc. I still would like to have a good understanding as a whole in what we can use when creating. Any links to resources I could read or information I get on here would be a huge help!

Thanks! --Jessica

More and more artists and creative types are making their photos, images, videos available under Creative Commons licenses. Check out the Creative Commons website. It explains the licenses and provides links to some resources. If an image is licensed under Creative Commons just check the usage details. Some people just want to be acknowledged while others don't require anything.
