Using Rise course as web object quality issue

Jul 06, 2020

Hello,

I'm using Storyline to build an interface for several Rise courses. I'm inserting the rise courses as web objects that play in the slide (playing in a new window is not an option for my use case), but when I publish my Storyline file the resolution of the web object is poor.

I've created this sample using a template from the E-Learning Heroes site:
https://blendedlearningmodules.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/Web+Object+Quality+Issue+-+Storyline+output/story.html

Here's the template's link outside of Storyline:
https://vilslearningobjects.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/step-by-step-guide-to-acing-the-interview/content/index.html

Any thoughts on this issue or what I might be doing incorrectly is greatly appreciated.

I think the Storyline file just scales the content in the WebObject.

You would probably have a better result if you just added the rise course within an iframe in Storyline (using the video embed object).

Can I ask why you are embedding in Storyline? I thought I misread at first, as I'm familiar with embedding Storyline in Rise, but not this.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

I'm embedding in Storyline for a couple of reasons.

I need to build a customized "course menu" for end-users to select a module from a list of choices. I can accomplish this by combining them all into one Rise course, but I would lose a lot of design freedom and functionality. Another consideration, is that the published Storyline file aids in holding a user's place when the Rise course is published for the web.
