How do you create a test that draws questions from several story banks? We want to randomly select questions for each objective in the course.
I can see that you can have multiple question draws but then you have to total up the results from each draw, calculate the percent correct and present that on a results page. How would that work? Is there a variable for each question draw or do you create one yourself?
You'll want to add a question draw slide each time you want to draw from a different question bank.
Then, add a results slide to calculate the score of all of the questions. Not to worry, Storyline creates the variables automatically. No need to create variables and calculations on your own. 😊
Give it a try, and let me know if you need any help along the way!
I'd love to know how this worked out. I am facing the same situation. I am using SL3. Will a draw from multiple banks feature be considered for the future? A lot of non-programmers would make good use of it I'm sure.
It looks like Alyssa shared our recommended workflow above. I'm not sure what Peter ended up creating, but hopefully, he's still subscribed so that he can pop in and share with you.
It sounds like you have an idea that you would pass onto the team and I'd love for you to share your idea as well as the use-case for us to understand the need with our team here.
