Using states in "Pick One" question
Dec 10, 2013
Ok... So I have bought Storyline and picked my way through making a pretty fun education module with interactive quiz questions. But... I would like to make it better. On two of my questions (Pick One - object) I would like them to go into another state when hovered over and yet another state if clicked as the correct answer before they hit the submit button. Am I asking too much or am I just such a n00b that I have overlooked that functionality?
Best wishes,
John

That can easily be done. For the hover, add a hover state to your pick items and style this state as needed. On the selected state for the correct item, add some visual indicator (in my example a green check mark). For the incorrect item(s) add some other indicator (in my example a red x). Hope that gives you some ideas.
Have you seen this tutorial about adding and editing states?

You can customize a Hover state for any object, and Storyline will automatically switch to that state when the object is hovered. Selected, Down, Visited, and Disabled states are also built in. You can also create your own states; in those cases, you have to create a trigger to change the state of the object.
Good luck!
Perfect.... Could not find that tutorial before. I am going to play around with it and am sure I can get it to do what I want. Thank you =)
