I only have a mac computer but I really want to get Articulate Storyline to help me with my teaching, both in the classroom and online. I purchased VMware Fusion so that I could get Storyline but it is not downloading. Can anyone help me figure out how to get Storyline with Fusion. Right now I'm just trying to download the free trial of Storyline to try it before I make the purchase. Would it work if I tried to purchase storyline. I want to make sure it will work first. Please help.
This is a super obvious question, but I just want to make sure we're on the same page. VMware Fusion lets you run Windows on a Mac... have you already installed and are able to run windows?
I think so. When I open Fusion it has a web page that I can surf the net
on. I try to download it from there but I either get a message saying there
is not enough room, which I know I have plenty of room because it is a new
iMac. Or else I get a message saying storyline is not compatible with mac
OS X.
Which broswer are you using in the VMware? When you set it up, did you need to partition your mac into a windows side and a mac side? Does a file download or are you getting the error message as soon as you try to download it?
It's already downloading on the PC window so if I drag it there then it
removes it. I downloaded Google Chrome but it must be having some problems
because it is all fuzzy like a TV without cable. The PC window moves really
slow as well.
That doesn't sound so good. I wish I could do more, but I think I've reached as far as I can go without seeing the machine. It might be worth reaching out to technical support here in case they can provide more information?
Just curious. Could I send you a Camtasia video of my screen and what I'm
doing? Maybe then you could identify the problem I'm having. If you don't
mind?
That might be a better solution for the tech support team. I only have limited knowledge about this kind of thing. Best left to the experts. Let me know how it pans out :)

Okay, I have a few more questions:
Which broswer are you using in the VMware?
When you set it up, did you need to partition your mac into a windows side and a mac side?
Does a file download or are you getting the error message as soon as you try to download it?
I used Safari
A file downloads for Storyline but I can't open it to download it. I am
able to download pdf forms off the internet though.
My screen is split. I can move the windows screen around on my mac screen.
I could be wrong, but if you're using Safari, it sounds like you're downloading it to the mac side of your machine, instead of the windows side.
Can you click and drag the file that downloads onto the windows screen and try opening it from there?
It's already downloading on the PC window so if I drag it there then it

Good luck.
Thanks for your help. Where is technical support?

Hi Joseph!
Here is some documentation on how to use our software on a Mac. The free trial is the full software version, so that should not be the issue.
If you need assistance from our technical support team, you can find them here.
