Variable in a quiz
Apr 11, 2017
Good Morning,
Hope you are well. I tried to do a question but with correct / incorrect answers as I want people could put labels (Jeannette and factory machines) in 2 boxes indifferently in fixed assets .
I don't know why I have a correct answer if I don't put capital in the right position (capital). Storyline needs to know that if we don't drag and drop capital, it is also wrong. To have the right answer, we have to put the 3 labels in the right boxes. Attached in the story file the right answer.
Thank you for your help.
Regards.
Fabienne

Hi Fabienne
Insert > Convert to freeform > Drag and drop then add the drag and drop targets in the form view.
it has the default correct/incorrect layers so you would need to format those.
Hope this is what you require.
If you don't use freeform you would need to add triggers.
Good Morning Wendy,
Thank you for your reply. I already used the freeform function in my file -;)
I think what is missing is that when we keep Capital label in the slide wihout putting it anywehre Storyline should know that it is wrong but I dont know how to do parameters...
If I choose drag and drop question offered by Storyline, I couldn't ask the tool to choose 2 boxes for 1 label.
Kind Regards.
Fabienne
Not sure I understand what you mean sorry Fabienne
If I just leave Capital label and drop the other two I get the incorrect layer in the file I sent - isn't that what you want?
I was sucessful to put labels Jeannette and Factory / machines either in A or B (attached picture) and Capital in Capital section.
I think some people could decide to put Jeannette - Factory / machines in B for example so I need to give the opportunity to put either in A or B.
But if we forgot to put capital in the right box, Story thinks it is a right answer while it is wrong. The right answer is Jeannette and factory either in A or B and Capital in capital section.
I hope this will more understandable.
Thank you for your help.
Regards.
Fabienne
Hi Fabienne
see if this works for you. I have created a drop correct and drop incorrect state for each of the labels (coloured for testing) and the first two labels can be dropped in either of A or B and be validated as correct. I also added the triggers and feedback layers.
Hope this helps.
Good Afternoon,
Thank you very much. I am going to see your new file and see how you did the parameters.
Regards.
